The Associate Production Planner supports production planning at Buffalo Trace Distillery; Supports production planning functions to ensure that the appropriate amount of inventory is held to meet customer service goals while minimizing carrying costs and improving production efficiencies; Ensure finished goods items are available for customer requested ship dates
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Help to create a production plan to support forecasted demand
Communicate with and support production planning and distribution to ensure that all reasonable customer requests and expectations are met or exceeded
Monitor aging orders and work with distribution and logistics to ship these orders as quickly as possible and speed up revenue cycle
Help to manage inventory of produced and non-produced goods to support customer demand.
Required Qualifications for Position:
Minimum 5 years successful work experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and technical skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Ability to project a professional image
Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications for Position:
Undergraduate degree preferred
Experience in manufacturing software, such as ERP, MRP, MPS, WMS
APICS Certification or Six Sigma Certification
Experience in development of query programs on AS400 or similar proficiency
Experience in the alcohol beverage industry
