Job Description/Responsibilities

Change Parts Coordinator - BTD

Bio: Develops, organizes, and maintains the bottling hall's change parts program. Oversees the inventory and storage of change parts for bottling equipment, ensuring that they remain in working order and are staged accurately to assist in production attainment. Coordinates with external vendors the acquisition of parts/equipment for new bottling products. Works with Bottling and Maintenance teams on continuous improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, and overall Production Efficiency.

 

  • Create and develop a personal development plan with Manager to improve a skill/competency that will develop personal skills and improve performance.
  • Achieve highest efficiency, meet all departmental goals and KPI’s, and ensure 95% uptime . Assist department heads with key identified operational issues improving customer service, quality, safety, and cost controls. Successfully complete key assignments provided by the Bottling and Maintenance Manager to improve efficiencies. Lead efforts to ensure timelines are met & obstacles are eliminated prior to proceeding. Provide leadership in identifying creative methods to resolve issues.
  • Oversees change-overs of assigned bottling lines to effectively and efficiently ensure completion of production schedules within safety, quality, budgetary and regulatory guidelines. Provides technical assistance to operators and line employees. Coordinates necessary maintenance actions to maintain production quality and efficiency. Works with Bottling Manager and bottling maintenance team to implements operational and mechanical improvements. Evaluates change-over efficiencies and cost; plans, organizes, directs, monitors and evaluates change-overs on assigned lines; directs improvements and corrective action plans.
  • Guide the planning of detailed PMs for Bottling change parts and track completion compliance. Ensure the creation of max and min stock levels for parts by equipment type to ensure availability and economy. Work to create standards on min/max best practices as well as general staging setup. They are accountable for maintaining the longevity of equipment/parts as well as keeping equipment in optimal running condition.
  • Continuously improve the quality of processes, products, services and the culture in which we work. Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices. Analyzes and resolves problems relating to product quality in a timely manner to avoid need for rework.
  • Consult with bottling and maintenance teams on cost savings projects to ensure supplier performance, maximize output and prevent downtime.
  • Ensure that all parts are staged promptly and accurately, thereby maintaining stability in the production schedule and improving production efficiency. Strategize with the new product development team and external vendors to effectively supply new parts and equipment for the bottling lines. Assist in the testing and roll out of new change parts along side the maintenance and bottling teams.
  • Administer/track OEM parts replacement process. Ensure price competitiveness. Track warranty information to avoid costly repairs and voided warranties. Provide specific operations requirements to external vendors.
  • Partner with Maintenance Planner to develop and implement parts/equipment. Ensure on time & accurate parts usage reporting and make recommendations to management on ways to reduce M&R spending. Update Min, Max and reposition level for the inventory.

 

Salary range - $21.16 - $26.45 per hour

 

*Placement within the salary range is calculated based upon years of directly relatable experience for the position

Qualifications/Requirements

MUST

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team as well as self-directed
  • Must be able to work at heights up to 20 feet.

PREFERRED

  • experience in a fast paced environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience in process design, implementation and improvement
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering related discipline
  • Apprenticeship program, technical school, or Associates Degree
  • 2 years Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
