Job Description/Responsibilities

The Plant Engineer and Reliability Manager  is responsible for technical support across BTD, capital project planning and implementation, technical training, and direction of the Maintenance and Engineering Team. The Plant Engineer and Reliability Manager also drives reliability improvement across BTD through world class maintenance initiatives.

 

  • The Plant Engineer and Reliability Manager leads the Preventative Maintenance Program across BTD. They are accountable for maintaining the longevity of equipment as well as keeping equipment in optimal running condition.
  • The Plant Engineer and Reliability Manager teams with bottling and distillery leadership to drive improvements in efficiency and productivity across the site. Ensures that maintenance plans are built and executed to continually increase performance. Ensures adherence to all Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Practices.
  • The Plant Engineer and Reliability Manager is accountable to drive improvements across BTD by utilizing the capital program. Identify and distribute best practices across sites and ensure key projects are included in the capital program.
  • The Plant Engineer drives continuous improvement in the Safety program by facilitating proactive behaviors across the team. The Plant Engineer is accountable for the performance on timely closure of Safety Work Orders to fix unsafe conditions.
  • The Plant Engineer builds cultural improvement through listening, teamwork, and caring. The Plant Engineer ensures regular department and 1:1 meetings are held with the maintenance team to ensure optimal relationships and performance. The Plant Engineer collaborates with internal customers to ensure great teamwork with all departments.
  • The Plant Engineer and Reliability Manager utilizes PPT to ensure projects are completed on time and at budget. They will ensure key stakeholders are informed of key tasks and accountable for their completion.
  • The Plant Engineer leverages the PDS system to clearly communicate performance with their team and build plans for performance improvement. They are accountable for bi-annual PDS discussions with direct reports to ensure a timely feedback loop.
  • The Plant Engineer ensures compliance through clear lines of communication with regulators and key stakeholders. The Plant Engineer is responsible for vetting new projects with regulators to ensure overall compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements

MUST

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Engineering or related degree 
  • 5-10 years relevant experience (minimum)

PREFERRED

  • APICS Certification or Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience managing in a union environment
